Heavy Duty Extruded Aluminium Interlocking Slats

The Mirage Series 3 Aluminium Shutter is specifically designed to span the largest openings and still offer a high standard of security. Available in Solid slats, Slotted (Ventilation), Standard Vision Slot (Slot covered by acrylic) and the MULTI-HOLE with 6.5mm diameter holes (Ventilation).

Application: Suitable for arcade entries, shopping centre malls, supermarket entries, high security shop fronts and where a single shutter is required to span widths up to 10.5 metres.

SIZES
Each shutter can be specifically manufactured up to 10.5 metres wide when used internally, or up to 6 metres wide when used externally. Intermediate or centre mullions can be used between each door when larger openings require more than one door. Please note, mullions are not recommended when shutters are motorised.

STANDARD CURTAIN
The curtain is assembled using 106mm x 1.5mm thick, solid extruded aluminium slats. Nylon end clips are fitted to the ends of every alternate slat to prevent lateral movement and provide a quiet and smooth operation.

CURTAIN ALTERNATIVES
Slotted Slats (Ventilation) - Any number of the aluminium slats can be punched with 191 mm wide x 74mm high slots. This gives an effective 52% ventilation per lineal metre of slat (Refer to drawing).

Standard Vision Shutter - The slotted slats can be covered with a 2mm thick clear acrylic infill to prevent the passage of dust and to give additional security (Refer to drawing).

Wideview Vision Shutter - The slats can also be punched with 600mm wide x 74mm high slots and covered with a 2mm thick clear acrylic infill. The width of the slot on the end may vary due to the size of the door. This type of shutter is recommended up to a maximum of 8000mm wide. This gives an effective 63% ventilation per lineal metre of slat (Refer to drawing).

Multi-Hole (Ventilation) - The slats can also be perforated with 6.5mm diameter holes @ 8.5mm staggered centres continuously across the width of the slat, giving an effective 36% ventilation per lineal metre of slat (Refer to drawing).

ROLLER DRUM
Manufactured from 165mm prime coated seamless steel tube with steel collars designed to support the curtain with the minimum of deflection.

CHANNEL GUIDES
86mm x 40mm extruded aluminium section. An optional plastic rubbing strip can be fitted inside the front lips of the guides.

BRACKETS
Fabricated from mild steel plate and prime painted.

BOTTOM RAIL
The heavy duty bottom rail has been uniquely designed to give additional strength and rigidity to the bottom of the door curtain. The 75mm wide bottom rail lip helps to conceal the slot in the bulkhead soffit. Optional rubber seals can also be fitted to the base of the bottom rail, three sizes are available.

OPERATION
Depending on the size of these doors they can either be:
Hand chain operated.
Motorised operation - as a standard, Mirage Industries will supply a three phase, one horse power motor with a standard controller, including an emergency hand chain.

Note: When motorised, please contact a Mirage Technical Advisor, as additional clearances are necessary. All wiring of electrical components and the supply of power are by others unless stated otherwise in the written quotation.

FINISH
Standard colour is anodised matt natural. Other colours and powdercoat finishes are also available on request. A limit to anodised and powder coated lengths is being experienced, so please check with the manufacturer.
