Extruded Aluminium Tubes & Polycarbonate Vertical Links

The Mirage Security Roller Grille is designed as a medium security grille where a high level of airflow and vision is required.

Application: Suitable for doorways, cash counters, bars, servery counters, passageways, entranceways and additional security to window areas.

SIZES
Widths -Any width of opening may be protected by fitting the "Mirage" removable or fixed standard 180', 135' or 90' mullion between individual grilles. For maximum sizes per grille, please contact manufacturer.

STANDARD CURTAIN
Shall be manufactured from 12mm OD Aluminium tube, anodising quality, connected by moulded vertical links. Each link is riveted to the Aluminium tube at staggered spacings. Link colours include Black, Aluminium Grey and Clear Polycarbonate.

CURTAIN ALTERNATIVES
For the convenience of locking at waist height or to add lateral strength to wider grilles, an additional locking rail may be added. Clear polycarbonate vertical hinge links - adds extra strength and will blend with any colour that may be chosen for the rest of the grille.

ROLLER DRUM
The drum shall be manufactured from 200mm diameter mild steel and attached to pressed steel endcaps. Helical coil oil tempered springs shall be installed inside the drum, the drum shall revolve on nylon bearings with the internal mechanism being completely concealed. Spring tension shall be adjusted on site and locked into operating position by the installer.

CHANNEL GUIDES
Side guides shall be 48mm x 30mm extruded Aluminium sections, designed to restrict the grille curtain from being forced out.

BRACKETS
The brackets are fabricated from mild steel slotted angle as standard.

BOTTOM RAIL
The bottom rail of the grille curtain is manufactured from a robust extruded Aluminium section incorporating a lip to act as a continuous stop. An optional black rubber seal can be inserted the full length of the bottom rail.

OPERATION
The roller drum is installed overhead in a horizontal position. Mirage Security Roller Grilles are spring counter-balanced for manual operation.

LOCKING
Mirage outside bottom rail locking with plated solid steel shoots to side guides is standard.
Locking alternatives are:

►Single sided locking (outside or inside).
►Two way locking (outside and inside) (inside locking by key or rear snib).
►Sliding pad-bolts to each end of the bottom rail (padlocks supplied by others).
►Lockwood 570 series cylinder keyed to one side only. 
►Lockwood cylinder keyed to one side only. Designed to enable the 'client' to master key to their requirements by others. Please note that this cylinder protrudes from the face of the bottom rail by up to 25mm.

FINISH
Standard aluminium colours are anodised matt natural, matt medium bronze and matt black. Other colours and polyester powder coating finishes are available on request.
