RECOMMENDED SPECIFICATIONS
Series 70 Aluminium Extruded Heavy Duty Roller Grille with 19mm tubes and 40mm
wide links as manufactured by Mirage Industries Pty Ltd., Australia.

SIZES
This grille is designed to suit
openings from as small as 1 metre wide and up to 10 metres.
CURTAIN
Aluminium tubes of anodising quality are connected by extruded solid aluminium links.
Each link being 40mm wide x 2mm thick is riveted to the horizontal tube at jigged spacings
of 500mm centres. The end of every tube has a nylon end shoe to reduce noise and take up
wear. This curtain will give an effective 65% airflow.
BRACKETS
Fabricated from 10mm mild steel plate and prime coated.
ROLLER DRUM
Manufactured from prime coated 165mm seamless steel tube designed to support the
curtain with a minimum of deflection.
CHANNEL GUIDES
Shall consist of a heavy duty extruded
aluminium section measuring 80mm x 35mm wide when applied between wall fixing (refer to drawing below). The same section with
the added fixing leg which measures 105mm x 35mm is used when the guide channels are
installed behind nib fixing (refer to drawing below). An optional plastic rubbing strip
can be fitted to one inside face of the guides. Two guide sections may be fixed back to
back to make up a standard centre mullion at 173mm wide.
OPERATION
Depending on the size of these doors
they can either be:
►Manually operated by hand.
►Hand chain operated.
►Motorised operation. As a standard Mirage Industries will
supply a three phase, one horsepower "Grifco" MD 58 motor with a
"Grifco" RC 374 standard reversing push button contactor with an
overload including an emergency hand chain.
Note: When
motorised, please contact a Mirage Technical Advisor, as additional
clearances are necessary. All wiring of electrical components and the supply
of power are by others unless stated otherwise in the written quotation.
FINISH
The aluminium bottom rail, side
channel guides, links and tubes will be supplied as standard in mill finish
(Raw aluminium). Also available in an optional clear anodised finish (Matt
Natural). Anodised colours, bright dip and powdercoated finishes are not
recommended. A limit to anodised lengths is being experienced so please
check with the manufacturer.
BOTTOM RAIL
An aluminium extruded section which
can house a choice of locking mechanisms on manually operated doors. This
section also incorporates a bottom flange to assist in the stopping of the
door in the up position. A rubber seal to the bottom rail is available as an
optional extra.
