CURRENT PROJECTS

WESTFIELD - MAY 2005

Our Qld office has secured the major roller shutter subcontract for Westfield ’s latest new shopping centre under construction at Helensvale ( on the northern part of the Gold Coast ). Our company enjoys a very positive relationship with Westfield , and is pleased to be continuing our work on their projects.

This project comprises new stores for Coles, Woolworths, Target, Aldi and K – Mart. Mirage Doors will feature on store entries, fire hose reel cabinets and loading docks. We will also be available for the separate fitout by shopfitters of around 110 tenancies.

Mirage NSW has also been successful with securing relevant subcontracts on their current and recent NSW projects at Tuggerah, Mt. Druitt and Bondi Junction.

Work on these sites requires strict compliance with statutory insurance coverage and O.H. & S. regulations; as well as having appropriately trained and qualified installers. Mirage Doors offers full compliance with all these requirements.

"RIVERWAYS" THURINGOWA (TOWNSVILLE) - MAY 2005

Our Townsville office has won the subcontract for Townsville’s major new infrastructure project – a community development at Thuringowa. This is a “ Greenfield “ site which will incorporate a number of residential and community buildings, as well as recreational grounds and facilities.

Mirage’s Brisbane office spent considerable effort with Cox Rayner architects to ensure the counterweight doors and roller shutters required would suit cyclone rating requirements.

The sales staff in all Mirage branches are highly motivated to assist with architects and specifiers to ensure appropriate specifications are given from the outset of the tendering process.

ROBERTSON BARRACKS DARWIN - APRIL 2005

Mirage Doors’ Qld office has commenced work on the latest stage of Robertson Barracks in Darwin for Barclay Mowlem Construction Ltd. This project is worth in excess of $2 million dollars and comprises roller shutters, roller grilles and counterweight doors. The latter consists of 20 single span doors – some of which are up to 18 metres in width !

All products are customised to specifications. We have a full time project manager on site, who is coordinating the various roles to ensure on time delivery and installation. This continues our long – standing successful track record on defence services projects, which commenced with our work at Lavarack Barracks in Townsville.

Our West Australia office has been successful in securing the subcontract with Multiplex Constructions for the counterweight and sliding doors on the Perth Convention Centre currently under construction.

The doors contain a significant customised design element, with many doors requiring a high acoustic rating. The doors will be designed in – house. Our Perth office has spent many hours assisting the architect and builder to ensure the final product meets the specific product demands.

SUNCORP STADIUM – MAY 30 2003

Mirage Industries has successfully completed it’s subcontract at the Suncorp Stadium redevelopment in Brisbane.

The new 52,500 all seat stadium includes over 250 Mirage aluminium / steel roller shutters and counterweight doors over the 7 levels.

Mirage was able to assist the architect and builder with cost saving initiatives prior to winning the subcontract.

Whilst the restricted construction program ensured all trades were tested to the limit, Mirage was able to complete it’s work on time.

Our performance at Lang Park continues a pattern of success on major sporting stadiums in Australia, including the ‘Gabba redevelopment in Brisbane, the Sydney Superdome at Homebush and the SCG in Sydney. We have also just secured the first stage of the MCG redevelopment in Melbourne.
