CLEARLINE ROLLER SHUTTER EXTRUDED - AVAILABLE WITH POLYCARBONATE OR ALUMINIUM SLATSThe Mirage Clearline Roller Shutter has been developed to give the highest level of vision whilst providing security and natural light flow. The design of the slats provides excellent dust and vermin protection.
Application: Suitable for shopfronts, store rooms, reception counters and corridors in retail tenancies, restaurants, cafes, offices, educational buildings and unit developments. When fitted with aluminium slats the Clearline roller shutter is an ideal high security roller shutter that is easy to operate. RECOMMENDED SPECIFICATIONS Clearline Vision Roller Shutters, as manufactured by Mirage Industries Pty. Ltd., Australia. Product Code AE / CP / 115. CURTAIN Made of alternating full width extruded slats 1.5mm thick x 98mm high clear polycarbonate, linked by rigid aluminium joining slats. Both ends of every aluminium slat are filled with a solid nylon clip that secures slats laterally and takes up wear. The Clearline may be installed forward roll or reverse roll, without affecting the appearance and function of the installation. CLEARLINE BOTTOM RAIL Shall consist of a robust extruded aluminium section, fitted with a rear Colourbond® steel coverplate, designed to completely house a key operated lock.The curtain may also be fitted with an optional waist high rail that can facilitate a lock and further enhance security. SIZES Widths - Any width of opening may be protected by fitting the "Mirage" removable or fixed standard 180, 135 or 90 degree mullion between individual shutters. OPERATION The roller drum is installed in a horizontal overhead position. Mirage Clearline roller shutters are spring counter-balanced. Size limitations are as follows: - Manual operation - 3600mm wide / 3500mm high / overall maximum 9.0m2. - Electric operation via a 240v internal drive motor - 5500mm wide / 4000mm high. LOCKING The standard lock is and L & F type mounted on the outside of the shutter. The L & F lock can have an internal rear snib or keylock as required. Other lock options are:- Waist high L & F keylock;- Shoot bolts fitted to the bottom rail (padlocks are by others);- Lockwood V9 lock fitted to the bottom rail (this lock protrudes 15mm forward of the bottom rail face). ROLLER DRUM Drum shall be manufactured from a 200mm diameter mild steel drum, attached to metal pressed steel end caps. Drum to be attached to end caps completely concealing the counter-balance mechanism. Helical coil oil tempered springs shall be installed inside the drum, which shall revolve on nylon bearings. Spring tension shall be factory set and finally adjusted in the field and locked in the operating position by the installer. FINISH The standard finish is matt natural anodised. Other anodised finishes and polyester powdercoat colours are available on request and are subject to lead time constraints. Metallic and Pearl powdercoat finishes are not recommended for roller shutters. OPTIONAL EXTRAS - Ventilation Slots: The polycarbonate slats may include ventilation slots 127mm wide x 28mm high, which provides 20% free air flow per lineal metre of slat. The specification must nominate the number of slats to be ventilated. - Solid Aluminium Slats: Any number of the clear polycarbonate slats can be substituted with solid aluminium slats of the same size and function. The benefit is added strength. - Multi Hole: The solid aluminium slat may also include multi-hole perforations, comprising 6.5mm diameter holes at 8.5mm diameter centres. This provides 30% air flow per lineal metre of slat. The specification must nominate the number of slats to be ventilated. TIPS FOR SPECIFIERS, BUILDERS & SHOPFITTERS - The polycarbonate slat is not U.V. stabilised and is therefore not recommended for external applications; - Preparation of openings to suit the Clearline shutter is by others. The shutter must not be installed to hollow stud walls. Refer to the Technical Data Sheets to ensure adequate wall preparation; - If required, pelmet enclosures, provision of jambs, flashings for jambs and master - keying of locks are by others. |
