Sketches – Highpoint Victoria

NRG have been a long time client of Mirage Doors and have completed a number of Sketchers and Platypus Stores Nationally. For the Store at Highpoint it was required to meet airflow requirements and tight constraints to the lease line of the shop.

A Multivent SD 200 Folding Closure was proposed and provided an aesthetically pleasing result.

 

Mitre 10 Berrinba – QLD

Mirage Doors as engaged by CIP Constructions (QLD) have provided Roller Shutter solutions for the Mitre 10 Distribution Centre located in Berrinba, Logan. The 30,000m2 Warehouse and Dangerous Goods Store Facility has been fitted out with 18 Mirage Series S100 Roller Shutters. These Roller Shutters have been installed for applications in General Warehousing and Loading Dock requirements.

The slats of the Mirage S100 Roller Shutters pictured, have been partially slotted allowing 20% ventilation per slat. The shutters are powder coated on both sides in Dulux- Monument.

The Glen Shopping Centre – Melbourne

As work continues on the $490 million dollar redevelopment of The Glen Shopping Centre Mirage Doors continue to update shopfronts and provide new doors for new stores entering the shopping centre with a range of products to suit individual needs. These products include solid SD folding closures for increased security at Artisan Home, Glass infill SD folding closures for higher class finish for Endota Spa, Custom Fiesta Door stacking system for Beauty and Brow, Powder coated and Anodised finish SD closures, and Series 3 roller shutters.

HOWARD SMITH WHARVES, BRISBANE CITY QLD

Mirage Doors was proud to be involved in the transformation & restoration of the Historic 120 year old Howard Smith Wharves site on the Brisbane River. As engaged by Hutchinson Builders the $109 million dollar Howard Smith Wharves Project has quickly become Brisbane’s newest entertainment precinct. Nestled under the Story Bridge the riverside development features a hotel, function centre, restaurants, bars and parklands.

Mirage Doors manufactured & installed Series S75 Steel Roller Shutters to the hotel carpark & loading dock, along with a Series 3000 Counterweight door to the waterfront Bar Restaurant.

Mirage Doors actively & successfully co-ordinated with Hutchinson Builders to ensure our products were fit for purpose and able to be in installed into restricted opening clearances.

RAAF Base – Sale Victoria

Lang O’Rourke were contracted to build the new facilities for the pilot training school at RAAF East Sale. The $200 million development would include new hangars and maintenance workshops, classrooms and training facilities, flight simulators and live-in accommodation for 105 junior officers. From 2019, basic pilot training for all army, navy and air force pilots will take place at RAAF Base East Sale utilising this new facility.

Mirage Doors were contracted to supply and install 11 Series 100 x 1.2 steel roller shutters (pictured) for the maintenance hangers that were 12.1M wide x 5.2M high to meet high wind load requirements and tie in to advanced fire suppression systems. An additional 13 steel roller shutters were provided for storage areas and 8 Aluminium Series 1 roller shutters in the training facility. Mirage worked closely with LOR steel contractors to ensure adequate structural support for a successful project.

RAAF AMBERLEY – BATTLEFIELD AIRLIFTER PROJECT

Managing Contractor Laing O’Rourke engaged Mirage Doors in 2017 to provide a range of Shutter & Door solutions on the $370 Million Battlefield Airlifter Project located at the Royal Australian Airforce Base- Amberley, Queensland.

The Project consists of upgrades & reconfigurations on base to accommodate the C-27J Spartan Battlefield Airlifter aircraft and Operational Facilities.

Spanning over two years Mirage Doors have manufactured & installed 58 Roller Shutters, Fire Shutters & Counterweight Bi-Fold Doors across six stages on the Project.

The Glen Shopping Centre – Stage 1 Melbourne

Co-owners Vicinity Centres and Perron Group unveiled the grand plans  to transform the 50-year-old centre with the first stage of the $490 million project, the Fresh Food Market Hall, opening by the end of the year, followed by an 8000sq m David Jones, and a further 240 retailers covering 78,000sq m.

In this first stage Mirage Doors have been actively involved supplying predominantly SD products to meet the needs and designs of the new development. This has included both Glass, Polycarb, and solid infills.

Maroochydore Sunshine Plaza Redevelopment

Developer Lend Lease announced in November 2017 a $400 million redevelopment of Sunshine Plaza located in Maroochydore Queensland. The highly anticipated redevelopment would expand the retail centre from 73,000 square meters to over 107,000 square meters.

Lend Lease along with various shop-fitting companies engaged Mirage Doors to provide Roller Shutter & Folding Closure solutions for the following retailers throughout the precinct:

    As works are still underway throughout the Sunshine Plaza Precinct, Mirage Doors  will continue to be a dominating presence with ongoing works for retailers such as H & M and Mecca Maxima.

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

Probuild have constructed a $300 million expansion of Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), incorporating a hotel and multi-storey car park to the existing facilities.

The 20,000m2 MCEC expansion integrates the existing spaces and includes an additional 9,000m2 of flexible expansion space. A multi-purpose space will have retractable seating for up to 1,100 people, service pods, meeting rooms and informal meeting spaces. There will also be a large concourse and a banquet room with capacity to cater for up to 450 people. 

The 331-room hotel adds a new tier of accommodation to the precinct, complementing the existing Hilton South Wharf hotel. 

Mirage Doors were contracted to supply and install four large 6.0M x 6.5M Bifold counter weight doors, and 8 smaller 3M x 3M Bifold doors.  These doors were insulated and fully clad, with double side and bottom seals to minimise noise transfer.
