Mirage Doors were approached by Lend Lease to provide a solution for a pop up kitchen in the new RMIT area. Mirage proposed and supplied 3 fully external counter weighted Bifold doors to meet the architectural cladding requirements and open servery area.
The new Lakelands Shopping Centre opened its doors to hundreds of waiting shoppers and is now the largest shopping centre between Mandurah and Rockingham south of Perth.
The 20,000sqm centre is anchored by Coles, K-Mart and ALDI and boasts more than 40 specialty stores. It is also much more than a shopping centre – it’s a community space providing a wide range of services with a childcare centre, library, a range of medical professionals, travel agency, restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets, beauty salons and even a 24/7 gym.
Mirage Doors was the majority supplier of shop front doors for this development working closely with Focus Buiding to deliver 21 doors on time to support the opening of this store. Doors supplied included Series 3 perforated Roller Shutters, Series 2 Aluminium Roller Shutters, SD300 side closing Doors, and Steel Roller Shutters for loading docks.

Harbour Town Melbourne has commenced it’s $150 million re-development to reinvigorate the Centre. The Centre has already undergone a significant ambient and aesthetic refurbishment to create a comfortable, all-weather retail and entertainment precinct. This has seen the addition of bluestone and timber floors, a weatherproof roof structure and the incorporation of planting and laneway-style greening. The ambience works continue with the Docklands Drive entrances currently seeing significant works to extend the weatherproof roof and add grand entrance doors.
Mirage Doors were chosen to supply and install two 6.7M x 4.4M glazed S3000 Bifold counter weight doors as the main entrance doors to the newly developed precinct.
EQ Tower is a 63 level development that includes 633 apartments, a ground level retail precinct and residents lobby, six levels of car parking and showcases a spectacular 360 degree view of Melbourne CBD.
EQ has many ecologically sustainable development features including photovoltaic solar panels, rainwater harvesting and re-use, water efficient fixtures and appliances and high performance double glazing throughout.
Mirage Doors was engaged by Multiplex to supply two counterweight doors for the car park entrances to the building. The series 1500 Fully Recessed doors were designed to provide maximum clear opening height and zero external protrusion for the building, to reduce set back of the doors. These doors were custom clad to match the building cladding.
Included in the recent Chadstone Shopping Centre upgrade was a new Hoyts Cinema complex complete with Xtreme size screens, reclining seats in all cinemas, and 4K image projection.
As part of the visual impact of the new entry was a requirement to provide a closure that would provide minimal impact on the visual appeal of the complex.
Mirage Doors, provided a Series 70 grille 6600 wide x 3500 high to meet the requirements while giving high levels of security when closed.
Mirage Doors has successfully tendered and negotiated for the supply and installation of both steel and aluminium roller shutters to the new Woolworths Marketplace located in Glennmore Park NSW.
Mirage Doors working with Quasar Constructions on the project will manufacture both aluminium and steel roller shutters across the centre.
Mirage Doors were approached to install two glazed Bifolding doors to the existing glass building.
These are 4 meter x 4 meter S3000 motorised Bifold doors to provide access to move cars in and out of the main showroom. Special attention was needed to provide glass to match the 15 year old custom E-glass of the building. We achieved this with viridian E-comfort 10.38mm glass.
K Mart has been undergoing a refurbishment of their store throughout Australia over the past three years. It has been proven by K Mart that a contemporary shopfront presentation directly correlates to high customer volumes and sales.
In Queensland, Mirage Doors has forged a positive relation with Samways Building & Construction to help K Mart achieve their objectives.
The most recent upgrade completion was in Mackay in North Queensland, where a single Series 3 roller shutter was used to span two opening bays. This replaced 30 year old counterweight doors. Wideview ventilation slots were added to optimise air flow capabilities. All work was completed after hours in one night, without disruption to existing trade.
The Mackay project was the 26th fitout between Samways and Mirage Doors Qld. in the past three years.
In Australia suburban shopping centres are regularly built in new population areas, and existing shopping centres are regularly upgraded to retain local loyalty. These centres are usually anchored by Coles and / or Woolworths.

In Queensland Mirage Doors enjoys an exceptional relationship with Hutchinson Builders, and we currently are involved together with the upgrade of the Aspley Village Shopping Centre on Brisbane’s Northside. The scope of work includes adding roller shutters to new and existing tenancies, and providing roller shutters to fire hose reel cabinets for the fire dept. upgrade compliance. Approx. 20 tenancies are being built or refurbished, and Mirage Doors is the prominent provider of shopfront doors on the project.
